Shed Solutions didn't start with a high-powered business plan. It started because Roland and his buddy Titus were officially the world's worst turkey hunters.
One spring morning in 2019, they were out in the woods. Roland wasn't a passionate turkey hunter; he was just an underemployed farm kid looking for an excuse to get out of bed. He was used to sweating all summer, but winter left him staring at the ceiling wondering why he'd even bothered to wake up. After hours of staring at empty trees and no turkeys harmed, Roland looked at Titus and said, “Look, we suck at this. Let’s just build a shed to sell. We have literally nothing better to do.” Titus shrugged, said “Okay,” and the masterpiece began.
Our first build was a 10×12 red barn. To be honest, it wasn’t going to win any architectural awards, but back then, we thought we had built the Eighth Wonder of the World. We threw it on Facebook Marketplace, half-expecting crickets. Instead, someone actually bought it. So, we did it again.
By shed number ten, Titus realized his back hurt and wanted out. Roland, fueled by teenage stubbornness and a love for business, refused to quit. He bought the remaining materials, crammed every last 2×4 onto a single trailer, and hauled it all over to Dayton, Virginia. That lone trailer was our entire foundation.
In 2022, Shed Solutions was officially born. Roland was 19, surviving entirely on adrenaline and caffeine. Realizing he couldn’t lift whole walls by himself, he roped his teenage nephews, Jacob and Quinn, into the chaos. The rest, as they say, is history.
